Lots of fun in our Orchard woodland
This half-term pupils across the school have been enjoying spending time learning outside in our school Orchard.
Nursery to Year 6 pupils have been on nature trails, taken part in den building, bird watching and one class even built a log fire.
During one of our recent parent tours, parents had commented that it was great to see pupils actively engaging in their learning and using the amazing environment to aid in curriculum enrichment.
We are planning from Spring term to rotate year groups so that all classes get the opportunities to work with our forest school teachers.
This will further foster rich learning experiences and provide our children with more opportunities to achieve and develop confidence through hands-on learning in a woodland environment.
I’m sure you all have noticed our wonderful new outdoor classroom, which will help further facilitate more learning taking place outdoors, across the curriculum, and will be an additional asset to further promote our forest school learning.
A huge THANK YOU to our PSFA for fundraising to help make the classroom possible.
