MALOREES Parent COMMUNITY

As the slideshow above shows, Malorees has a very vibrant parent and friends community.

This includes the Parent & School Association (PSA) in Infants and the Parent School & Friends Association (PSFA) in Juniors.

All parents become members of one or more of these Associations when their children join the school.

Both groups work towards supporting the school socially, academically and financially and both Groups would love to meet you and hear your ideas..

The two bodies work together on many activities but are both registered charities and fundraising bodies in their own right.

To see examples of their activities please click on a link below or join the conversations on Facebook at the "Friends of Malorees" Group.

We have also recently created a joint PSFA/PSA newsletter. You can read this here and are very welcome to subscribe.

PARENT SUPPORT

The PSA and PSFA are the schools' two parent bodies but the school also offers parents other opportunities to help one another or to get advice.

SideBeSide

The Infant and Junior School offer parents support through the SideBeSide initiative, led by Monica Jato.

SideBeSide is a school based therapeutic service that benefits the whole school community by being available to all children and, where helpful, to parents/carers and staff.

The team runs sessions such as the very popular Parent Gym.

Malorees (Health) Matters

There is also an informal network called Malorees Matters which meets monthly over coffee. This is an opportunity for parents and carers to discuss any challenges or issues relating to the family or personal well-being or of their children.

For more information please contact Paul Thomas via friendsofmalorees@gmail.com
