Malorees Primary School
Vision
Every pupil leaves Malorees Primary School as a confident, resilient, and aspirational individual, prepared for the next phase of education and for life beyond school.
Mission
To deliver a safe, inclusive and ambitious education that nurtures the whole child and promotes academic excellence, wellbeing, creativity and character, empowering every child to belong, achieve and contribute positively to society.
To achieve this, we will:
- Nurture curiosity, creativity and ambition by providing a broad and balanced education including high-quality enrichment, sport, arts, and outdoor learning
- Promote personal development and a lifelong love of learning, preparing pupils to become responsible citizens and future leaders
- Promote high expectations for all, removing barriers to success, enabling every child to achieve their full potential
- Work in partnership with our community to role model our core values as we work towards our vision of an exceptional, sustainable new school.
School Values
Respect, Excellence, Aspiration and Determination
Respect
- We show kindness, honesty and consideration towards ourselves, others and the world around us.
- We celebrate diversity, and promote fairness, inclusion and equity in all that we do.
- We work together with families, staff, governors and the wider community to create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where everyone belongs.
Excellence
- We strive for high standards and take pride in our learning, behaviour and achievements.
- We encourage effort, curiosity and a commitment to continual improvement.
Aspiration
- We inspire children to believe in themselves, aim high and dream big
Determination
- We encourage resilience, perseverance and courage when facing challenges.
- We support children to learn from mistakes, overcome barriers and develop independence
Rights & Responsibilities
We have embraced UNICEF’s 'Convention on the Rights of the Child' which sets out a moral code for developing ‘Rights and Responsibilities' for everyone within the school to share.
We encourage all pupils to understand that for every 'right' they have, there is also a 'responsibility' that goes with that. Children think about these responsibilities through a shared class charter. This comprehensive approach is deeply embedded into everything we do at Malorees, meaning every child can become a confident, caring lifelong learner.
