Wonderful team spirit at the London Winter Run
Congratulations – and thank you - to the 35 teachers and parents who braved the cold with 20,500 people in Sunday’s 10km ‘London Winter Run’.
The event is the UK’s largest mass participation winter event and is organised to support Cancer Research and families affected by cancer.
There were smiles from beginning to end, with our team - including Ms Chentouf, Ms Groves, Mr Wright, Mr Jack, Ms Moher and Mr Abbas - showing an amazing togetherness and spirit, despite many battling flu, injuries, the biting cold, asthma and fear of the distance – or many of these in combination!

lso caught the eye with vibrant T-shirts designed by twenty Infant children.
Thank you to everyone who helped with this. It helped the runners get round a tough course.

£8,600 raised
Our PSFA is proud to report that £1,232 was raised (via entry fees) for Cancer Research and just over £7,397, after Gift Aid, for the school.
This will be invested in the IT upgrades for the classrooms, enabling us to purchase two more interactive White Boards.

Looking ahead
Mr Cleary, PE Lead, promises a very exciting six months ahead for sport in both schools.
Children in in both schools will be 
entering more Brent sporting events - building on the recent successes in netball, tag rugby and athletics.
There will be a return of the children’s Duathlon, the annual Sport Days as well as the popular weekly football, running, rugby, netball, cricket and yoga clubs.
Sign-up for the Blenheim Triathlon?
We are also proud that so many parents and members of the teaching team have signed-up for the Blenheim Triathlon on Sunday June 3rd..
Last year 17 parents took part, inspiring over 40 parents and 19 friends, including a Kensal Rise Library team, to sign-up this year to do either half or quarter Triathlons this year.
Many children will be doing mini-duathlon events the same day, making it a family day.
Giles of the PSFA says it’s not too late to sign-up for the event and the PSFA is prepared to cover entry costs for any parents receiving Pupil Premium. Contact giles.deards@btinternet.com.
